Cellular Health: Our Research into Micronutrients

We are different: While scientific research into micronutrients is still largely in its infancy, we conduct our own research.

Research lies at the heart of our work and forms the basis for the development of our products. We go far beyond theoretical concepts: At our own research institute, we investigate under controlled laboratory conditions how micronutrients and their targeted combinations interact with the cells of the human body. These in vitro findings help us gain a better understanding of how the ingredients interact at cellular level.

Our formulations are based neither on assumptions nor solely on previously published findings. Instead, we develop them on the basis of empirical research and examine how their ingredients interact and complement one another, always taking into account their effects in different cellular systems.

In this way, our own scientific research and laboratory findings contribute directly to the development of our products.

Principles of Our Research

1. Innovation Is Our Driving Force

Our research is based on the discoveries of Dr Matthias Rath and the fundamental principles of Cellular Health. Through laboratory experiments, including cell culture studies, we generate our own findings for the development of our products. Under controlled conditions, we investigate how micronutrients interact with one another.

This enables us to evaluate their interactions on the basis of our own research and incorporate the resulting findings into the development of new formulations at an early stage.

2. Our Work Is Documented in Numerous Scientific Publications

Over the past 20 years, our own research and collaboration with other scientific institutions have resulted in more than 100 peer-reviewed publications in renowned scientific journals. Our studies cover nutrient interactions, cellular processes and other key topics in basic and nutritional science.

The wide range of our freely available publications demonstrates how seriously we take continued research. It makes our findings accessible for scientific discussion and enables them to be evaluated through the peer-review process.

3. Scientifically Developed and Investigated in the Laboratory

Scientific studies provide an important foundation for our work. However, we do not want to rely solely on previously published findings. We therefore investigate in the laboratory how micronutrients interact under controlled conditions. We use the findings obtained from this research to develop our own formulations.

Our product development is therefore based not only on scientific literature, but also on measurable results from our own laboratory research. This combination enables us to develop formulations on a sound scientific basis.

4. Micronutrient Synergy as a Research Principle

At the beginning of the product-development process, we ask one fundamental question: How do vitamins, minerals and plant extracts behave when they are combined?

Micronutrient synergy is therefore a central component of our research. We do not consider ingredients only in isolation. Under controlled laboratory conditions, we investigate how they interact with one another in cellular systems. The findings obtained from this research are incorporated into the development of our formulations.

We regard every ingredient as part of a team. What matters to us is not the individual performance of a particular substance, but its role within the formulation as a whole.

In practical terms, this means:

• Our formulations undergo defined quality checks before becoming finished products.

Patented Micronutrient Formulations

Innovation lies at the heart of our work. The scientists at our research institute have already developed more than ten internationally patented micronutrient formulations. Further patents are in preparation. They reflect the care with which every formulation is developed. The composition, proportions, stability and interactions of the micronutrients are carefully examined so that you receive a product you can rely on.

Patents in the field of micronutrients are rare and generally relate only to specific manufacturing processes for individual ingredients. Our patents go one step further: They cover complete micronutrient formulations that have been investigated at cellular level as part of our research – evidence of the care and innovative strength behind our development work.
